David Zedaker passed peacefully with the love of his life, Mary, and family at his side. Born in Warren, Ohio, he studied literature, language and liberal arts.

David was a radio DJ at KGB, an ad man for Golden Arrow Dairy and ran a printing business from his Point Loma home for more than 35 years.

Known as “Poppa Z,” David enjoyed music and photography. His zest for life was legendary and he warmed the hearts of all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, six children and nine grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 7 at Point Loma Community Presbyterian Church, 2128 Chatsworth Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association or Vitas Hospice.
