On Saturday, a panel of directors shared their expertise on fashion film. The distinguished panelists included Alvaro de la Herran, Kathryn Ferguson and Jacques Dequeker, followed by an informative talk on accelerating your career by Hollywood producer Adam Leipzig, whose book, “Inside Track for Independent Filmmakers,” gives advice on the movie business and answers questions on having a film made.
Festival producer Fred Sweet and agency director Linda Comer greeted the crowd arriving on the red carpet. Glamorous models, fashion designers, actors, directors, cinematographers and an array of talented people made their way up the carpet before enjoying a social hour, networking and delicious hors d’oeuvres by chef Maylin Navarro from S.o.L. Catering.
Fashion film screenings began at 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Representatives of the worldwide fashion community juried the film festival, and the International Fashion Film Awards awarded films for 12 different categories.
