The La Jolla High School Associated Student Body has teamed up with the American Cancer Society to host "Teens for a Cure," a Relay for Life walk to raise funds to fight cancer on Saturday, Feb. 23.

From 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., participants will walk around the high school's track with cancer survivors to raise money for life-saving treatments and research.

The event will also feature food from Wahoo's, Puesto and Jamba Juice, as well as entertainment from La Jolla High's band, The Saline Solutions, featuring Tim Rayner, Skip McCullough and Daniel O'Keefe. LJHS student David Schultz will also entertain under his pseudonym, DJ 2B.

Walkers are asking for donations to sponsor their journey around the track, and funds are being accepted in any amount.

Tom Atwell, LJHS teacher and coach, will provide a keynote address alongside cancer survivors.

All funds raised for the event will be donated to the American Cancer Society for cancer research.
