“Operation Blue Tsunami” has nothing to do with the ocean, but you’ll know it’s happening if, as Police Lt. Natalie Stone said, you “see more cop cars than you’ve ever seen before in your life.” The idea is to flood an area with police units for maximum enforcement detail for a few hours. Ocean Beach could be the first place the operation begins, but Stone wouldn’t reveal when. “It will include anything,” she said. As many as 15 patrol units have converged on Ocean Beach locations to deal with various criminal elements and activities.
