“This is our 10-year anniversary, and we really had to turn up the heat,” said event producer Michelle Metter.
The festival’s culminating event, the Grand Tasting, held Nov. 23 at Marina Park North, featured 200-plus wine, beer and spirit purveyors. Here, guests crowned the Liberty Station burger bar Slater’s 50/50 “People’s Choice” among scores of participating restaurants.
“It’s very exciting to celebrate our city and the wonderful wine and food festival,” said Bernard Guillas, executive chef of the La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club and La Jolla’s Marine Room restaurant.
“The festival is a very well-respected and blossoming event. Nationwide, it has become the buzz.”
