A rare evening celebration on March 15 at the tip of Point Loma will include dinner and dancing after a walk to the lighthouse at sunset, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
The fun-filled evening will benefit various historical and educational programs provided by the Cabrillo National Monument Foundation.
“Light Up The Night” was forced to be rescheduled from its original date in October because of the partial government shutdown that paralyzed the National Park System.
After a sunset walk to the Cabrillo lighthouse, guests will be treated to dinner catered by Elegant Events, followed by a silent auction and dancing to live music performed by Revolt Age and Friends.
The Cabrillo National Monument at the end of Catalina Boulevard normally closes at 5 p.m. As a result, the “Light Up the Night” event will present a rare opportunity to view the historic lighthouse and glimpse beautiful views of the city at night.
Tickets for “Light Up The Night” are available in the Cabrillo Store at the park or online at www.cnmf.org.
