Husband arrested in wife’s murder case

On Oct. 14, 2014, Elizabeth Sullivan, 32, was reported missing to the San Diego Police Department. She was last seen in the area of Liberty Station. On Oct. 6, 2016, an unidentified female’s body was found in the San Diego Bay along 2600 Farragut Road. The body was later identified to be Elizabeth Sullivan and it was determined she was a victim of murder.

San Diego Homicide Detectives continued their investigation and identified the suspect in Elizabeth’s murder to be her former husband, Matthew Sullivan. Matthew and Elizabeth were married at the time of her murder. Detectives obtained a homicide warrant for Matthew’s arrest last week. On Jan. 31, local authorities arrested Matthew outside of his residence in Wyoming, Del.
