Where to watch Super Bowl LIV in Ocean Beach, Point Loma

Super Bowl Sunday calls for eating delicious game-day grub and finding the best local hotspots to watch the season’s final brawl-for-it-all championship game. Whether you favor the AFC or the NFC, the Chiefs or Forty-Niners, or are just an NFL fan, there are numerous places — and vibes — to select from this year in the Peninsula to catch the big game on Sunday, Feb. 2. Here are a few options: OCEAN BEACH Sunshine Company Saloon
Celebrate each touchdown here at 5028 Newport Ave. with pickle backs and gummy bear shots at the largest bar on Newport Avenue.
The saloon has an upstairs patio to watch the sunset. There are four pool tables, two full bars and a Mexican restaurant adjacent to the bar for quick taco runs between commercials.  Mother’s Saloon
There’s not much more a football fan could ask for here at 2228 Bacon St. than 15 big-screen TVs, traditional and boneless wings, nacho supremes, Cajun beef bites and parmesan beer-battered fries, crinkle fries not to mention their extensive craft beers on tap.
For the Super Bowl, Mother’s will offer $5 for six wings as well as $12 pitchers for Miller and Coors Light. Also on special will be $5 onion rings, chips, queso, and deep-fried egg rolls. BBQ House Bar and Grill
Whether you’re ordering a sloppy Joe, barbecue chicken or a whole rack of ribs dinner, this bar and grill at 5025 Newport Ave. is the place to enjoy the ocean breeze right next to the pier while watching the game.
Three large flat-screens at the bar plus various TVs around the eatery ensure everyone gets a front-row seat. Wonderland Ocean Pub
This beachside restaurant on 5083 Santa Monica Ave. has a surf ’n’ turf-inspired menu that features fresh ceviche, Baja shrimp cocktail, and steamed mussels, accompanied by wines, cocktails and craft beers.
There are plenty of TVs scattered throughout the pub. There will also be a $6 special on 20-ounce Pacifico drafts on game day. The Harp
This Irish pub at 4935 Newport Ave. will be offering food and drink specials throughout the day for the big game.  POINT LOMA Harbor Town Pub
The pub at 1125 Rosecrans St. is going all-out Super Bowl Sunday. For a $20 entry fee, guests will get two free drinks and six raffle tickets for prizes of at least $500. If the opening kick-off by the receiving team in either the first or second half results in a touchdown, the raffle prize goes up to $1,000. The food special will be $1 chicken wings. Catalina Lounge
For Super Bowl Sunday the pub at 4204 Voltaire St. will be putting out free food and will have drink specials throughout the day. Paradise Lounge & Grill
The eatery at 2732 Midway Drive on game day is offering a special on crab cakes and Kansas City barbecue, as well as having drink specials on domestic beers, and likely some specialty shots, throughout the day. Buffalo Wild Wings
TVs and framed sports jerseys line their walls at 3615 Midway Drive. Saucy wings will line the stomachs of those looking for a fun family atmosphere to watch the Super Bowl. There’s a bar area and a main dining room with signature wing sauces. The fried pickles are also a favorite.  Banzai Bar
This popular pub at 3048 Midway Drive is pulling out all the stops on Feb. 2 describing its Super Bowl spread as “pretty spectacular.”
Their Super Bowl super party will be from 3 to 9 p.m. For $50, guests can feast on a variety of all-you-can-eat appetizers and well drinks and call drafts.
And one thing more. If the second half kick-off gets returned for a touchdown, Banzai will refund the guest’s $50 entry fee. LIBERTY STATION Soda & Swine
The eatery at 2750 Dewey Road, #104, will be open during game time from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. with specials on drinks, chicken wings, and other comfort foods. The restaurant has TVs for Super Bowl viewing but will close immediately following the game for a company party. Oggi’s
The restaurant at 2562 Laning Road will have specials on drinks and food on Super Bowl Sunday and will be tapping a new beer that day especially for the occasion. There will also be raffles during the game. Dirty Birds This outdoor bar at 2970 Truxtun Road welcomes both guests and their dogs. Dirty Birds has 24 rotating draft beer handles, 34 TVs both inside and outside, and serves award-winning chicken wings and hand-crafted gourmet pizzas to be enjoyed on game day. The Loma Club
The club at 2960 Truxtun Road, which just changed management, will be having a “Super Bowl sell-out party” on Sunday, Feb. 2.
“We are going to be changing our menu after the Super Bowl, and we are basically going to be selling all our cocktails, beers and spirits at discounted prices until they run out,” said club general manager April Kirby adding, “We’ve got TVs all around for watching the game.”
