I CAN’T BELIEVE I didn’t put a date on this photo of the grand opening of Pier 1 Imports, but I’ll guess it’s around 1984. Most Pacific Beach residents have only known American Apparel on the site. Older folks recall it as Stadler’s Drug Store.
