A man who robbed an unlicensed marijuana delivery service driver at gunpoint remained at large Oct. 5, San Diego police said.
The driver told police the suspect requested to purchase marijuana through a cell phone app, and the two agreed to meet in a parking lot near the 1700 block of Garnet Avenue, according to Lt. Eric Hays.
Once the driver arrived, the suspect got into the delivery vehicle, pulled out a handgun and demanded all of the driver’s marijuana, as well as an undisclosed amount of cash, Hays said.
The suspect, who fled on foot, was described as black, about 20 years old, 6-foot-1 inches tall and 150 pounds, wearing a green camouflage jacket and black pants.
Anyone with information on the robbery was asked to call the San Diego Police Department Robbery Unit at 619-531-2299 or Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
