The San Diego State University community, including thousands of SDSU alumni in the region, are invited to participate in the inaugural SDSU Alumni Day of Service.
The event, taking place Saturday, June 10, 8 to 11:30 a.m., will get underway at 5920 Fairmount Ave.
SDSU is partnering with The San Diego River Park Foundation for a river cleanup, working to reduce waste clean-up around the river. The cleanup will focus on the San Diego River in the Mission Valley area, located below the Alvarado and Fairmount Creeks connector.
Pre-registration online is required.
Attendees are asked to wear closed-toe shoes or boots, socks, long pants and long sleeved shirts. Hats and sunscreen are recommended. Gloves, tools and water will be provided. Participants are encouraged to bring their own reusable water bottle to limit waste at the site.
