Following the annual meeting of the Friends of Del Cerro (FODC) the board met and elected the following officers; President – Mark Alan, Vice President – Jackie O’Connor, Treasurer – Bryan Pridmore, and Secretary – Jane Klofkorn.
Jane is also going to continue as the historian. Jane would like to hear from Del Cerro residents regarding any historical information and/or who she can interview about the history of Del Cerro. The interviews, stories and historical information will be posted on the friendsofdelcerro.org website. Contact Jane by emailing her at [email protected].
Bob Hickman, the chair FODC Crime and Safety committee, emphasized the primary goal for the committee in the coming year is to increase the number of active Neighborhood Watch areas within Del Cerro. To learn how simple it is to establish and maintain a Neighborhood Watch program in your neighborhood, contact Bob by emailing him at [email protected].
Mark Alan, the new president of FODC is asking all Del Cerro residents to let him know about your concerns and suggestions for our nearly 70-year-old community. Let Mark here from you by emailing him at [email protected].
As of the date this article was submitted to the Mission Times Courier, there is not a firm date as to when the All Peoples Church proposal will be discussed and voted on by the City Council.
There is also good news about the July 4th Fireworks at Lake Murray.
New members were elected to the board and the vote was unanimous to continue the event for July 4th, 2024.
