This fall, the Mission Trails Regional Park (MTRP) Foundation is hosting Fall Talks at the Park, a lecture series exploring the natural environment and what we can do to give back to the world around us.
The community is invited to join our speakers at the Visitor Center for one (or all) of the lectures presented at the Visitor Center. Many thanks to our speakers who are generously sharing their knowledge with us: Bob Gordon, Millie Basden, Mark James, Patricia Simpson, and Cathy Handzel.
Fall Talks at the Park:
· Nov. 19, 10 a.m. : Hawk Talk with Bob + Huxley the Hawk (pictured above)
· Nov. 30, 6:30 p.m. : Taking iNaturalist to the Next Level at MTRP
· Dec. 14, 6:30 p.m. : Defending the Dark Film Showing + Stargazing on the Terrace
Whether you want to be a part of the solution to light pollution or meet an apex predator – there is a talk for everyone to enjoy. We are thrilled to be offering a seasonal lecture series at Mission Trails and encourage the community to get in touch if there are other presentations of interest. Stay tuned, we already have exciting speakers lined up for Winter! Learn more and register for these fantastic lectures at: mtrp.org/events.
Also, if you have friends and family visiting over the holidays, you can take them to Mission Trails to enjoy some of our free Trail Guide-led walks.
