San Diego Restaurant Week invites diners to “Spring into Flavor” this season with diverse and specially curated multi-course menus that highlight the gastronomic offerings of San Diego’s top restaurants from March 3-10. Women’s History Tour
A new tour focused on women’s history in Balboa Park and San Diego is available just in time for Women’s History Month. Free in the month of March, the public tour travels between treasured park landmarks and discusses the remarkable women who contributed to the park’s rich history.
The tour is hosted by the Balboa Park Visitors Center, and is the product of a collaboration between the Women’s Museum of California, San Diego History Center, and Forever Balboa Park. Tours meet at the Bea Evenson Fountain, in front of the Fleet Science Center, and run from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. on Sunday, March 3, Thursday, March 14, Wednesday March 20 and Saturday March 30. Bilingual orchestra concert for kids
Classics 4 Kids will produce an educational orchestra concert titled “Danza Cubana,” aimed to benefit 2,394 elementary students throughout San Diego County. This program features Conductor Dana Zimbric, the Classics Philharmonic Orchestra, special guest artist Juan Carlos Blanco from Center for World Music, and the Sabrosas Latin Orchestra. Shows will be at 9:45 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. on March 5 at the Joan B. Kroc Theatre at 6611 University Ave. and on March 8 at Balboa Theatre.
10th annual Women’s Symposium
The Academy of Our Lady of Peace (OLP) will present its 10th annual Women’s Symposium on March 8, continuing its commitment to the advancement of young women in academia and leadership.
This year the theme is Together We Rise, and the stage will be shared by a multitude of speakers with panel discussions covering topics like public policy, health care and fashion.
“Hand to God” during San Diego Theatre Month

Will Eisner week at Comic-Con Museum
Will Eisner Week is an annual series of events celebrating comics and sequential art, graphic novel literacy, free speech, and the legacy of Eisner, who was one of the most innovative figures in the history of comics and graphic novels. Panels at 12 p.m., 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 9 are free with Comic-Con Museum admission.
