The City of San Diego is embarking on the first update of the Mid-City Communities Plan in 25 years.
This initiative aims to identify possibilities for new homes, businesses and infrastructure to enhance the well-being of everyone in Mid-City. Four planning groups are involved in this community plan update: Normal Heights, Talmadge/Kensington, City Heights, and Eastern Area. El Cerrito south of El Cajon Boulevard falls within the Eastern Area Communities Planning Group.
The City Planning Department needs to hear the public’s insights and it is offering numerous occasions for members of the public to learn more on the plan, ask questions, and share their feedback.
Get involved by participating in the Planning Department’s in-person community office hours and pop-up events to:
* Learn about the community plan update;
* Speak to City staff about important issues and opportunities in Mid-City neighborhoods
* Engage in interactive discussion and share your questions on the Mid-City Communities Plan Update.
