Students in grades K-12 are welcome to join the office of Assemblymember Akilah Weber for a book giveaway event for young learners. The event is in partnership with the Jackie Robinson YMCA, United Way of San Diego County, Computers2Kids, and Sesame Place San Diego.
The event takes place Friday, April 5, 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at the Jackie Robinson YMCA, 151 YMCA Way in San Diego. Attendees are asked to enter through the main front lobby. Children must be present to receive the giveaway items.
Weber’s office will have approximately 1,000 books to distribute at all grade levels up to 12th grade.
Thanks to their partners at Sesame Place San Diego, children can get their picture taken with a special Sesame Street guest character. Thanks to Weber’s partners at Computers2Kids, free laptops will be raffled throughout the event while supplies last.
