The City of San Diego is hosting two public workshops to allow a broad cross-section of community members to come together to share ideas and provide input on vision, priorities, and other topics to inform the Mid-City Communities Plan Update.
One workshop is in person while the second workshop will be virtual.
The plan update will guide future growth and investment in the communities of City Heights, Eastern area, Kensington-Talmadge, and Normal Heights. El Cerrito south of El Cajon Boulevard is in the Eastern Area.
The in-person public workshop will be organized as an open house meeting throughout the day, with facilitated breakfast discussion groups scheduled at two different times (noon and 2 p.m.).
The virtual workshop will adapt the in-person workshop to an online setting. Translation services will be available at both workshops, and refreshments will be provided at the in-person workshop. With your registration there is also a chance to win a $50 gift card.
The May 18 in-person event will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Hoover High School’s small gym (4474 El Cajon Blvd.) – Registration.
The May 22 virtual option event is slated from 6 to 8 p.m. on Zoom – Registration.
El Cerrito community members are encouraged to attend these workshops to let city planners know what the residents of El Cerrito would like the community to look like in the future.
