The Alzheimer’s Association San Diego/Imperial Chapter has relocated. The new office, located at 591 Camino De La Reina #720, allows easier access for a majority of San Diegans.
“We are thrilled to announce our move to Mission Valley,” said Janet Hamada Kelley, Executive Director of San Diego/Imperial Chapter. “The move allows us to build on our community engagement, including the possibility of hosting caregiver support groups and education programs on-site,” she explained. “This has been something our volunteer leadership has been urging, and is reinforced by what we are hearing in the community.’
The relocation of the San Diego chapter coincides with the recent Grand Opening of a San Diego/Imperial Chapter office at the DayOut Adult Day Health Care Centers in El Centro (757 Main Street).
The El Centro office is open the third Friday of each month from 1 to 3 p.m.
The Alzheimer’s Association is fighting to end Alzheimer’s and all other dementia. This work includes accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.
More than 60,000 people in San Diego and Imperial counties are currently living with Alzheimer’s disease, and more than 160,000 family and friends are providing care.
Alzheimer’s disease is a leading cause of death in the United States. In California, there are more than 690,000 people living with Alzheimer’s.
