The City of San Diego Planning Department is holding the next meeting of the Working Group for the Mid-City Communities Plan Update on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 6 to 8 p.m.
Interested individuals can attend the meeting in-person at The Salvation Army Kroc Center or virtually via Zoom. The Salvation Army Kroc Center is located at 6845 University Avenue, San Diego.
The plan update will guide future growth and investment in the communities of City Heights, Eastern Area, Kensington-Talmadge, and Northern Heights. El Cerrito south of El Cajon Boulevard is in the Eastern Area. El Cerrito community members are encouraged to attend the workshops to let city planners know what local residents would like the community to look like in the future. Those attending the meeting either in-person or via Zoom will have the chance to participate during a public comment period.
Among the meeting objectives are:
* Complete presentation of Draft Mid-City Atlas: Existing Conditions Report, including Land Use and Development, mobility, Parks, Public Facilities, and Open Space.
* Presentation of Draft Public Engagement Summary.
* Facilitate discussion and get input from Working Group members in response to presentations.
* Provide an opportunity for members of the public to provide comments.
