The El Cerrito Community Council (ECCC) is welcoming residents to join them for their monthly nightly meeting in person at the College Rolando Library, 6600 Montezuma Road, San Diego, or via Zoom, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 21.
Residents should note that this and future meetings of the ECCC will happen on a new day, the third Monday of every month.
The ECCC is changing its meeting day from the third Thursday of the month because the library no longer has funds budgeted for after-hours security on Thursdays when it closes at 6 p.m. Since the library is open on Mondays until 8 p.m., ECCC has elected to move its community meeting date to a day, the third Monday of the month, that supports full community access. ECCC said it hopes that this change of day will not pose insurmountable challenges for those residents who have grown accustomed to theThursday meetings.
ECCC will have the usual updates from representatives of its planning and community organizations, elected officials, parks and recreation, and PATH Villas El Cerrito.
In a development for the community, ECCC has partnered with PATH Villas El Cerrito in forming Neighborhood Advisory Committee (NAC) that will be the conduit for concerns that residents of El Cerrito may have with the operation of the residential housing at the Family Health Centers (FHC) building, 5472-5482 El Cajon Blvd.
Concerns regarding the operation of the FHC clinic on the ground floor or the multi-level parking garage, which are not connected to PATH Villas El Cerrito on the upper floors of the building, should be made directly to FHC. If you have concerns or positive comments regarding the residential housing in the FHC building, send them to [email protected], attention NAC Chair Greg Estep.
The meeting will be held in the Library’s Learning Center. Residents should use the main entrance to access the Learning Center. The meeting will be hybrid with in-person and online options.
