The Crack Shack, hatched in 2015 in Little Italy, will expand into its fifth San Diego location in Pacific Beach, now under construction at 4525 Mission Blvd., in late 2024 or early 2025.
The menu at the new PB location will be similar to other sites with rotating specials and location-specific promotions. Diners can expect the same iconic crispy chicken, mouthwatering signature sandwiches, hearty salads, and grain bowls as well as luxury milkshakes and fresh-baked cookies.
Known for creating laid-back and welcoming dining experiences, PB Crack Shack’s “coop” will offer many of the same features that have helped to redefine the local concept of family-friendly dining at other locations in Encinitas and at 2266 Kettner Blvd. Lawn games, a large-format video wall, and a thoughtful menu provide a fun, social setting where all ages and backgrounds can gather. In addition to comfortable accommodations for guests dining in, The Crack Shack offers convenient take-out options ideal for on-the-go eating or outdoor picnics.
The Crack Shack originated when the team behind Juniper and Ivy, a fine-dining restaurant founded by Michael Rosen, pondered over what to do with the abandoned shack next door. The team however never envisioned their fried chicken passion project becoming so successful. At the forefront of the chicken craze, The Crack Shack’s culmination of a meticulously prepared menu, thoughtfully sourced, pristine local ingredients, laid-back vibe and unexpected level of hospitality has been a proven crowd-pleaser.
The Crack Shack was created with the goal of bringing quality ingredients and high-end culinary focus to a fast-casual, outdoor setting. The Crack Shack has consistently delivered on their mission to source the highest quality non-GMO Jidori chicken and bring locally available ingredients into its kitchens and onto people’s plates.
The restaurant has since built a devoted following of hungry customers looking for tasty comfort food they can trust. Crack Shack’s menu features high-end but low-key culinary creations from the mind of founding executive chef and culinary director Jon Sloan, The Crack Shack is a suitable setting for any occasion, adding to their existing locations in Little Italy, Encinitas, Costa Mesa, and Las Vegas.
