Get ready to dine, drink & discover as the La Mesa Village Association (LMVA) presents a night of food, fun, and friends at the inaugural Taste of La Mesa Village.
The event will take place on Thursday, April 24, from 5-8 p.m. in downtown La Mesa along La Mesa Boulevard.
Ticket holders can expect to enjoy tastings from a variety of local restaurants with either sweet or savory signature dishes, and sip stops serving local craft beer, wines, and other libations. Non-alcoholic options will also be available.
“The downtown La Mesa Village has blossomed into one of San Diego’s most vibrant neighborhoods with a variety of new restaurants, cafes, bars, and wineries coming in over the past decade,” said Wes Troy, president of the LMVA. “We are excited to bring this new event to our community, allowing residents and visitors alike to experience firsthand all of the businesses that make up the eclectic atmosphere of La Mesa Village.”
Starting at 5 p.m., attendees can stroll down La Mesa Blvd. spanning both sides of Spring Street with their “Passport” voucher in hand that will guide them to each station to sample signature dishes and/or non-alcoholic drinks from each of the participating establishments including places like Tour de Tapas, Bougie’s Cheese Shop, Casa Gabriela, Surf Rider Pizza, Limoncello, Curbside, Johnny B’s, Pink Rose Café, Farmer’s Table, Mario’s, Trolley Stop Deli, City Taco’s, Pete’s Place, Boba Life and many more.
Sip Stops will be located at various retail businesses along the event route, featuring drink samples from San Pasqual Winery, Skrewball, Hugo Cognac, Long Drink, Helix Brewery, and more. In addition to food and drink offerings, guests will also enjoy live entertainment and art displays from local musicians and artists along the tasting route, which will stretch along La Mesa Blvd, between Grant Avenue and Acacia Avenue.
Tickets purchased in advance of the event are $35 per person (food and non-alcoholic beverages) and $45 per person (food, alcoholic drinks and non-alcoholic beverages, 21-plus only). Day-of tickets will be $45 (food and non-alcoholic beverages) and $55 per person (food, alcoholic drinks, and non-alcoholic beverages, 21-plus only) based on availability.
