From March 19-23, Mission Valley, an open-air shopping center (https://mission-valley.com), invites the community to take part in a five-day festival celebrating Latino cinema and culture presented by the San Diego Latino Film Festival.
During this cultural event, attendees will enjoy live performances, culinary displays, retailer discounts and weekend markets in addition to a series of more than 50 feature films and 75 shorts spanning drama, documentary, animation, and experimental works.
Screenings will be held daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the shopping center’s AMC Mission Valley 20theater. Films from the United States and Latin America will offer a perspective on identity, family, history and the ever-evolving Latino experience, and guests attending screening events will have the ability to meet celebrity guests and filmmakers via Q&A sessions.
Beyond the screen, at various locations around town, SDLFF will also offer a live Latinx performance by Sonido Latino on March 19 and a Closing Night Concert, Arte Latino exhibition and “A Taste of Sabor” culinary journey all held on March 22.
