There is always something to do in Little Italy!
A year-round staple
As the weather gets warmer, take a stroll outside at everyone’s favorite farmers’ market, the Little Italy Mercato! This year-round staple is hosted every Wednesday and Saturday at the center of the neighborhood on West Date Street from west of Kettner Blvd to Front Street. With a variety of fresh produce, meat and plants to local artisan food and crafts, the Little Italy Mercato is the best place for all your household needs. Come out and support local businesses on Wednesdays from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., rain or shine!
ArtWalk’s 41st birthday
Come out to celebrate 41 years of the Mission Fed ArtWalk in Little Italy on April 26-27. This year’s ArtWalk (pictured above) will display the work of more than 250 artists from across the US and Mexico. More than 100,000 people flock to the two-day festival to view and purchase artwork and enjoy the additional features of the event. Come for the ArtWalk and stay for all the fine dining venues, shops and galleries Little Italy has to offer. With live music performances and interactive art experiences, you don’t want to miss this!
Top-tier brunch spots
Are you looking for a new go-to brunch spot with good ambiance and even better food? Or maybe a happy hour with Instagram-worthy bites and sips? Look no further, because Little Italy has it all!
With picture-perfect restaurants like Coco Maya and Queenstown Public House, this neighborhood is hard to beat. Coco Maya is a brunch favorite thanks to its great food and beautiful rooftop overlooking the Piazza della Famiglia. Brunch is served until 2 p.m., so stop by this tropical oasis for some chilaquiles and a Clarified Piña Colada.
For those looking for something a bit more laid-back, check out Queenstown Public House!
