The historic Darlington House, 7441 Olivetas Ave., has just reopened after two months of restoration work.
The lovely home with gardens is owned by the Social Service League of La Jolla, which rents it for weddings and other special occasions, with money raised going to support the next-door League House, a home for low-income seniors.
Brides often choose to make an entrance down the grand staircase.
Patricia Jasper, ASID, lead designer on the project, is framed by a beautiful artwork in an alcove above one of the couches.
The renovation included new paint, carpets and upholstery.
Three noted architects designed portions of Darlington House between 1925-1940.
