On behalf of the Friends of Del Cerro (FODC) and the members of the Enhance Del Cerro Committee, as the President of the FODC, I want to thank our new members for joining FODC and special thank you to all the volunteers who are continuing to work on securing signatures to have the City of San Diego conduct an election to establish the Enhance Del Cerro Maintenance Assessment District (see image above).
For more information on establishing a maintenance assessment district, go to the enhancedelcerro.org website and click on View Engineer’s Draft Report. Thank you, Mark Allan, president of the Friends of Del Cerro.
Robert Hickman, the chair of the Friend of Del Cerro Crime and Safety Committee announced he has been contacted by several Del Cerro residents requesting the replacement and/or the installation of an initial Neighborhood Watch sign.
If you would like to establish a Neighborhood Watch program in your neighborhood, contact Robert through the FODC website at friendsofdelcerro.org/contact/.
The FODC is continuing to work with Salvadore Serrano, the City of San Diego grounds maintenance manager for City’s Open Space and the Gas Tax Revenue funds regarding upgrading city property in the downtown area on Del Cerro Blvd., including the College Avenue median between the freeway and Del Cerro Blvd.
We expect to receive a follow-up from Salvadore by the end of January with a couple of recommendations.
Happy New Year to everyone.
Let us hear from you regarding what you would like to see improved in Del Cerro.
