A male suspect shoplifted items from the Von’s store at 3651 Midway about 9:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 8. He was confronted by store security as he was exiting. The suspect fought with security. The suspect pulled out a knife and cut one security officer’s finger and stabbed another in the leg. The suspect was detained by citizens until police arrived. The suspect is in custody and the security officers were treated for non threatening injuries. Robbery responded and will be investigating.
