One of San Diego’s hot spots for the most important meal of the day, Breakfast Republic, hatched another location in Ocean Beach on April 20. Known for their extensive menu incorporating innovative and classic breakfast foods, branded décor and humor-cracking signage, the eatery plans to be the best breakfast near the beach.
The Ocean Beach location is Breakfast Republic’s fifth location, ruffling feathers near the waves. Taking over the previous space for OB Warehouse, ocean dwellers can start their days off with a cluck or two at the 5,000-square-foot space that will feature the same cheeky design the restaurant’s regulars know and love (including their famous pancake whisk, Einstein lights and pun-filled quotes). The new location is now set to be the largest restaurant to date, offering a two-story build out and the biggest interior space of all five.
The full menu will be offered from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. If you have favorite dishes from their other locations menus, not to worry. Ocean Beach will feature the same out-of-the-box creations, influenced by owner Johan Engman’s travels across the world. With a full liquor license in store, guests can enjoy new creations such as the Jurassic Pork Bloody Mary, or the Whiskey Sunny Side Up made with Koval American Oat Whiskey, lemon, cane sugar, red wine, and egg whites. The Ocean Beach location will also display 46 tap handles, incorporating popular craft beers, three permanent kombucha flavors, three rotating kombucha flavors, and two different cold brews on draft.
