SAN DIEGO HUMANE SOCIETY OPENS NEW WILDLIFE CENTER FOR INJURED AND ABANDONED ANIMALS
The new Pilar & Chuck Bahde Wildlife Center is specially designed for injured and abandoned wild animals that come to Project Wildlife, a program of the San Diego Humane Society. The state-of-the-art Wildlife Center includes habitats that will help to reduce stress as patients heal and grow before they are released back to the wild. The facility’s medical and surgical suites will expand San Diego Humane Society’s capabilities and provide a permanent, dedicated home for veterinary care for wildlife.
The Pilar & Chuck Bahde Wildlife Center is located at 5433 Gaines St. For more information about what to do if you find a baby or injured wild animal, visit sdhumane.org or call the Project Wildlife hotline at 619-225-WILD.
Looking for an entry level summer job with flexible hours and the chance to work outdoors? The City is currently looking to fill 46 open pool lifeguard and pool manager positions at 13 facilities.
Interested participants must attend an initial tryout to assess basic swimming proficiency and qualify to enroll in the City’s lifeguard training course. Tryouts will be held Tuesday, March 19 and Thursday, March 21 at the Tierrasanta Pool from 5-7 p.m., and Tuesday, March 26, at Vista Terrace Pool in San Ysidro from 9-10 a.m.
