Do you want to join the conversation about housing, transportation, and land use in your neighborhood and participate in making recommendations to the City?
The College Area Community Planning Board’s (CACPB) annual election is coming in March.
The CACPB is the officially recognized Community Planning Group for the College Area, and it is an advisory body to the City of San Diego. The CACPB is seeking diverse candidates to participate on the board.
There are three (3) members with terms expiring in March, eligible to run for reelection. In addition, there are seven (7) vacant seats to be filled.

To run for a seat on the board, you must –
• Be at least 18 years old, and
• Either rent or own a home, own property, or own a business located in College Area, or
• Represent a Community Non-Profit organization operating within the College Area.
The College Area is located in the central part of the City of San Diego, just south of Interstate 8 and west of the City of La Mesa. The College Area is 3.1 square miles (1,987 acres), along the southern rim of Mission Valley and approximately 8 miles northeast of downtown San Diego.
The community shares boundaries with the designated community plan areas of Navajo and Mission Valley to the north, Kensington-Talmadge to the west, and Eastern Area to the south.
