Opens Saturday, Oct. 11
This exhibit is making its West Coast debut at the San Diego Natural History Museum (1788 El Prado, Balboa Park), starting a run lasting until April 26, 2015. The recreation of the legendary boy king’s tomb includes more than 1,000 scientifically produced replicas hand-crafted by Egyptian artisans.
Featured recreations include King Tut’s throne, chariot and unique golden death mask. The exhibition is appropriate for all ages and includes an audio tour with child and adult versions available. If you would like to time travel to inspect the artifacts of ancient Egypt visit sdnhm.org/kingtut.
