Citizens of District 9 will have the opportunity to attend the Neighbors for a Better San Diego sponsored City Council District 9 Candidate Forum on Thursday, Feb. 1, 6:30 p.m. The event will take place at the Salvation Army Kroc Center, Rolando Banquet Room (next to the ice arena), 6753 University Ave.
Attendees can learn about the issues that matter most to them. The forum will be moderated by the League of Women Voters of San Diego and conducted according to their guidelines. Audience members will have the opportunity to submit questions in writing.
District 9 communities are made up of Alvarado Estates, City Heights, College Area, College View Estates, El Cerrito, Kensington, Mission Valley East, Mountain View, Mt. Hope, Normal Heights, Redwood Village, Rolando Park, Rolando Village, Stockton, Talmadge.
Three candidates are running to represent the people in District 9: Sean Elo-Rivera (incumbent), Fernando Garcia and Terry Hoskins. The two candidates with the most votes in the March 5 primary election will move on to the general election in November.
