‘NUTCRACKER’ AT THE CONRAD
“Nutcracker. No Sugar” will make its debut at 1 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., Dec. 15, at The Conrad Prebys Performing Arts Center, 7600 Fay Ave. The performance, presented by Ballet Institute of San Diego, will feature nearly a dozen La Jolla dancers in this twist on the traditional classic. Created by founder and artistic director Egle Spokaite, the play has elements of a traditional “Nutcracker” as well as an unexpected look at the beloved holiday ballet, including spotlighting karate students from Eagle Martial Arts of La Jolla. HANDEL’S MESSIAH
