Visiting El Camino capitalized on a number of early Helix Charter High turnovers last Friday en route to a 49-20 victory in the season varsity football opener in La Mesa.

Helix, coming off a 9-2 overall campaign and 4-1 mark in Grossmont Hills play a season ago, will look to rebound this Friday evening when it hosts Saint Francis.

Meantime, El Camino returns to Oceanside where it will play host to Mountain View High this Friday night.
