Traveling around to find the right piece or pieces of jewelry can be a challenge.
Visiting various jewelers, researching their reputations, and finally deciding what you want can be tiresome. That said, finding a jeweler that goes the extra mile for its customers can lead you to Enhancery Jewelers.

Mission Times Courier caught up with owner Maria Hopkins recently for an email Q&A.
MTC: What sets your jewelry business apart from other such businesses in the area?
Hopkins: I think what sets our business apart from other jewelers is our customer service. We take pride in getting to know our customers and making them feel like family. We are never pushy. We want to make their jewelry buying experience a positive one and help them find just the right piece of jewelry for whatever occasion they are shopping for. We are known for being very honest, trustworthy and fairly priced. We also help our customers with repairing their existing jewelry so they can continue to enjoy wearing it. We have been told that we are unique in that we will do our best to repair any type of jewelry for our customers. One customer shared with me how another store told her that she had “junk” jewelry and how appreciative she was that we called it her “fun” jewelry as it was important to her. She appreciated that we took the time to repair it as it was meaningful to her which made it worth repairing to us. We also love to help our customers redesign either their existing jewelry pieces or items they may have inherited and make them into something that they will continue to cherish. We also custom design from a customer’s sketch or idea and help them make it a reality.
MTC: Before buying an important piece of jewelry for themselves or a loved one, what are some things you advise a consumer to do?
Hopkins: Our advice to a customer would be to think about the person they are buying for and think of things like:
* How active are they? Might determine the style
* What do they wear most often? Might determine if the customer buys earrings as opposed to a ring or necklace.
* What color of metal does the person they are buying for like to wear: yellow gold, white gold or silver?
* What occasion, if any, are they celebrating?
MTC: Have there been any notable changes or trends in the jewelry industry in the last decade?
Hopkins: Notable changes to the industry would definitely be lab-grown diamonds. Lab-grown diamonds have become the go-to for most younger consumers. We are also seeing a trend back to yellow gold and the layering of chains. Popular diamond shapes have also changed in the last decade going from princess cuts to seeing marquise cuts make a comeback.
MTC: Moving forward, will there be any recognizable changes in how consumers go about buying jewelry?
Hopkins: Moving forward, we are in the day and age of people shopping online. So, we will continue to work very hard to set ourselves apart by, once again, providing great customer service and other services that can not be obtained online. We will continue to educate consumers on the value of buying good jewelry even in an ever-changing economy. Many consumers consult Google and other review platforms before deciding where to shop, so, we are very proud of our 5-star rating and will strive to always earn that from every customer we help.
