
It’s time to shake your shamrocks and raise a glass – San Diego’s 29th Annual ShamROCK Music + Beer Festival is rolling back into the Gaslamp Quarter on Saturday, March 15.
From 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., this emerald extravaganza will transform downtown into an Irish topia, packed with frothy brews, lucky fun and of course, some jig-worthy tunes.
For nearly three decades, ShamROCK has been the annual beacon of Irish culture, craft brews and lively entertainment, making it anorte event for locals and visitors alike. Whether you’re a beer aficionado, a music lover or just looking for an unforgettable Gaelic-inspired experience, ShamROCK is a day of fun shenanigans.
This year’s festival spans four emerald-carpeted blocks and features three stages.
At The Pint Stage, let the sounds of traditional Irish and Celtic music sweep you away while mesmerizing Na Scealaithe Irish dancers keep the energy high between sets.

2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. | LEPERKHANZ – This band is a high-energy, crowd-engaging collective of musicians blending Irish fiddle, ancient sea shanties, mega beats, and experimental sounds.
4 p.m. – 5 p.m. | FINNEGAN BLUE – Blending rock, bluegrass, Irish, gospel, reggae, and NOLA second line with a punk rock inspired edge.
5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. | THE FOOKS – The iconic San Diego Irish band that you can’t live without.
7 p.m. – 8 p.m. | QUEL BORDEL – The city’s beloved world punk band known for their wild performances and danceable beats.
8:30 p.m. – 10 p.m | LIQUID BLUE – A powerhouse cover band that creates an experience like no other.
Prepare for a thrilling musical experience at the Rainbow Stage, where nostalgia meets euphoria. While the Pint Stage delivers the authentic rhythms of Ireland with top Irish and Celtic performers, the Rainbow Stage will burst with energy as the region’s best tribute and cover bands play your favorite hits, alongside the city’s finest DJs keeping you dancing all day.

5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. | RED HOT CHILI TRIBUTE – This cover band is your gateway to the legendary performances of the Chili Peppers, bringing their unique sound back to life.
7:15 p.m. – 8 p.m. | TAYLOR NATION – Prepare for a performance dedicated to all the swifties in San Diego with the premier live Taylor Swift sing-along tribute.
El ShamROCK Shenanigans Stage is the epicenter of fun and friendly competition, featuring free Shenanigan Showdowns throughout the day.
Show off your best Irish jig, try your luck in Leprechaun Tug-of-War, or challenge yourself with the Blarney Stone Balancing contest.
Other exciting games like Taste the Rainbow and Lucky Limbo await, along with thrilling contests such as Magical Chairs and Rainbow Streamer Relays. The playful ShamROCK leprechaun emcee will host these competitions, offering prizes that will leave your friends green with envy.
Don’t miss the Irish Dance Lessons at 4:15 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. at the Shenanigans Stage. Whether you’re an experienced dancer or just someone who dances in the living room, you’ll learn how to hop, turnout, point, and switch in this 20-minute free lesson led by Na Scealaithe (pronounced “Na SHKAYL-uh-huh”). Bring your high knees and a positive attitude!
General admission tickets start at $39, granting access to the full lineup of live music, games, and festivities. For an elevated experience, opt for the Premium package at $59 or go all out with the VIP experience starting at $89, which includes perks like expedited entry, commemorative keepsakes, drink discounts at the Lucky Leprechaun VIP Irish Pub, and access to all three stages. ShamROCK supports the Fundación histórica del barrio de Gaslamp(GQHF), a non-profit dedicated to preserving the architectural and cultural heritage of the Gaslamp Quarter. Proceeds from the festival help fund efforts to maintain San Diego’s history at the Gaslamp Museum, housed in the city’s oldest building, the Davis-Horton House.
