Spill the Beans recently announced the opening of its fourth location in San Diego County, now serving coffee and bagels at 980 Garnet Ave. in Pacific Beach. With the same menu at its Gaslamp Quarter location, guests can look forward to fresh-roasted coffee and food offerings available throughout the day.
Spill the Beans’ signature bagels, crafted by chef Karina Orozco, have remained a favorite since day one. Made with five ingredients and boiled in agave syrup, these bagels stand out for their larger size and softer texture.
They are available in flavors such as sundried tomato and cheese, and bacon and white cheddar. Guests can eat them with artisan-compounded kinds of butter or handmade cream cheeses. Flavor options include white truffle and Parmesan, Bananas Foster, and caramelized shallot and chive, with rotating monthly specials. This spot is the first Spill the Beans location to offer vegan cream cheese.
The menu also features a variety of “bagel sandos” like the popular San Dieggo – two over-medium fried eggs, peppered bacon, American and pepper jack cheese, and cayenne aioli. Other highlights include Chia Berry Bowls, avocado toast, and hearty lunch options like the B.B.L.(t) with peppered bacon, tomato, lettuce, and garlic aioli.
In addition to coffee options, the Pacific Beach location offers blaze energy drinks, cold brew, teas, fresh juices, and handcrafted specialty lattes.
The café features indoor seating in its 2,000-square-foot space. Initial hours of operation are 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., seven days a week.
