Point Loma High School students will host a fundraising thrift shop at El Jardin restaurant in Liberty Station Saturday, Feb. 23 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
“We will be selling curated clothing, bags, shoes and accessories collected from friends and family,” said PLHS spokesperson Naomi Christian. “All of the proceeds will go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.”
Christian said she and her colleagues are doing a campaign called Student of the Year.
“My team and I are hosting several fundraising events for this campaign, with the main one being a Pop-Up Thrift Shop,” she said. “We are selling lightly used and new curated clothing items (women’s, men’s, and children’s) as well as shoes, bags, and accessories. A few local boutiques in San Diego such as Miss Match and Rare Bloom have also donated some items for us to sell.”
The girls have been collecting and sorting clothing since late December. All of their inventory is donated by friends, family, neighbors and coworkers. The students have been hanging, folding, organizing and tagging hundreds of items every weekend.
Every dollar raised will go directly to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
