
On Saturday, May 7 the city of San Diego will hold the sixth annual Miss San Diego Cities and Miss San Diego Cities Teen pageants at the Joan Kroc Theater beginning at 7 p.m. Pageant directors are currently seeking outgoing young women ages 14 to 26 to participate in this mentoring program for young women.
As a preliminary to Miss California USA, the pageant will focus on preparing the 2016 titleholders to compete at the state pageant in December. Contestants will be scored on personal interview, speech, poise and personality, swimsuit, evening gown and on stage question. There will be awards for the Best Interview, Best Speech, Fan Favorite and the official pageant photographer will choose Miss Photogenic.
Winners will receive the opportunity to serve as the city’s official hostesses and spend the year attending grand openings, parades, charity events and fundraisers as well as represent San Diego at the Miss California USA pageant.
