Spring is in the air and it’s a season of change. To celebrate, Pazza Market & Cucina at The Collection at UTC has unveiled its first Carne e Pesce (meat and fish) menu items.
Opened a little over a year ago with a menu centered around pasta, pizzas, and salads, Pazza Market & Cucina has now expanded its offerings with its first meat and fish-focused entrees. Featuring authentic Italian cuisine built on homemade pastas, sauces, and sides, the restaurant felt the time was right to bring a few heartier items to the menu:
- Ribeye Steak: A classic 12-ounce ribeye served with a side of roasted potatoes and a Cacio e Pepe sauce.
- Risotto Dello Chef: A rotating dish pairing risotto with a meat side; the current offering is saffron risotto made from Arborio rice with a lamb shank.
- Fish of the Day: Alternating daily, a fresh filet pan seared and topped with a lemon caper sauce over lentils.
“Bringing our guests the absolute freshest and most genuine Italian meals is our top priority,” said Pazza executive chef Patrick Money. “Expanding on our already popular base of pizzas and pastas, we felt the time was right to add some classic Italian protein-centric dishes with more options for our meat and fish-loving guests,” Money said.
Guests can get updates on the rotating risotto dishes and fish of the day by following Pazza Market & Cucina on Instagram and Facebook at @PazzaMarketCucina.
Birthed out of founder Vanessa Uteau’s “crazy” idea to launch a new restaurant concept in an uncertain post-pandemic market, Pazza Market & Cucina brings together the best in authentic, fresh, and delicious Italian cuisine in a charming dine-in, take-out, and market setting at The Collection at UTC in the heart of San Diego’s Golden Triangle.
As a seasoned restaurant and hospitality industry veteran, Uteau knew she wanted to offer unparalleled quality, bringing in chef Money to create a menu filled with scratch-made pastas, pizzas, house-made sauces, and appetizers that instantly transport the diner to a quaint Italian cafe.
Exclusively stocked with imported Italian products, the in-house market provides everything a home chef may need to recreate an authentic dish including Italian fine wines, a wide variety of sauces, olive oils, vinegars, seasoning, and house-made pastas for takeaway.
