Overseeing the daily operations of Mission Fed Credit Union’s (Mission Fed) accounting and financial functions, longtime Mission Fed leader Steve Hasbrooke takes on the role of chief financial officer.
With more than 17 years of service with Mission Fed, Hasbrooke has supported various teams during his tenure, including serving as an accountant, to becoming the first vice president controller, before officially being named as CFO in 2024. Hasbrooke, a resident of the Del Cerro/Allied Gardens area, assumed his new role earlier this year, after former CFO Doug Wright was announced as the credit union’s president and chief executive officer.
As CFO, Hasbrooke oversees all accounting, financial planning, analysis, finance, treasury, asset recovery and collections teams in his new role. He also plays a critical part in the ongoing evolution of Mission Fed’s data analytics and process improvement efforts.
“Steve is uniquely qualified for this position based on his in-depth knowledge of our accounting systems and operational processes,” said Wright. “His strong relationships and deep care for our employees and members are tremendous assets for us as our new CFO.”
Before his time at Mission Fed, Hasbrooke worked for the Family Help & Caring Connection as the director of operations and financial manager. He also previously served as a controller with Partners in Vision International, Inc.
Hasbrooke graduated from the University of Phoenix with a Bachelor of Science in business management. He previously held board of director positions for organizations like Hope in the City and Partners in Vision International, Inc., and he also volunteered his time as financial secretary and treasurer. Additionally, he served as treasurer for the church council at College Center Covenant Church.
