The San Diego State University men’s basketball team, in partnership with the MESA Foundation, joined Feeding San Diego earlier this week to make a difference in the community.
Players and coaches were at Hoover High’s School Pantry to distribute fresh, nutritious food to students and their families. The collaboration highlights MESA Foundation’s commitment to community engagement and Feeding San Diego’s mission to fight hunger through innovative programs like their School Pantry initiative.
“MESA Foundation is excited to partner with Feeding San Diego and the Hoover High School Panty initiative. Our mission is to connect Aztec basketball student-athletes with the San Diego community, and there is no better place to do that than right in our backyard. We are inspired by the work that Feeding San Diego is doing to address food insecurity throughout the county and hope we can continue to help bring visibility to this incredibly important cause.”
