Celebrate Independence Day with the Santee community at Santee Salutes.
Santee Salutes will take place on Thursday, July 4th from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Town Center Community Park East, located at 550 Park Center Drive, Santee.
Bring chairs, blankets, canopies, and the family out to this Santee tradition. Dance and sing along to performances by the U.S. Marine Corps Band, PMG (Popular Music Group) and Whiskey Ridge. Carnival rides will be back at this year’s Santee Salutes event; the rides will open at 2 p.m. and close at 8:40 p.m. Wristbands for unlimited ride access will be sold on-site, for $20.
There will be a variety of food options for purchase, with local concession stand Riverwalk Grill barbequing tasty bites and vendors in “Food Truck Alley” serving up delicious eats. Attendees are welcome to bring their own food and drinks to the park to enjoy. Refill water bottles at the hydration station and stay cool throughout the day.
Pardon the dust as the construction project for the synthetic field replacement is still ongoing. Due to construction and safety concerns at Santee Salutes, the area surrounding Fields 3 and 4 will be closed. The City appreciates attendees’ cooperation while these fields are repaired and has provided alternative fireworks viewing spots, listed on www.SanteeSpecialEvents.com. The event area may be subject to closure due to capacity limits, so be sure to get in early.
Be sure to plan ahead and reserve your parking spot. Guests are encouraged to take the trolley, bike, rideshare, or walk to the event as parking is limited.
The event schedule will be:
2 p.m. – Parking Lots and Carnival Rides Open
4 p.m. – Food Vendors Open | U.S. Marine Corps Band, PMG (Popular Music Group)
6 p.m. – Patriotic Ceremony | Military Color Guard
