The Larry Himmel Neighborhood Foundation will host its 7el Annual Back-to-School Haircut Drive in partnership with the California Barber & Beauty College and the support of La Mesa’s Skyline Church.
The event takes place on Saturday, Aug. 5, 9 a.m. to noon at Skyline Church Rancho San Diego campus), 11330 Campo Road.
This annual drive aims to equip kids with the confidence and tools they need to begin the upcoming school year with enthusiasm. Larry Himmel Neighborhood Foundation believes that a fresh haircut and essential school supplies can significantly affect a child’s self-esteem and overall academic success.
Free haircuts will be provided to children aged 18 and under during this event.
In addition, each child will receive school supplies to ensure they are fully prepared to embark on their educational journey. From backpacks to notebooks, pens to rulers, the Larry Himmel Neighborhood Foundation, the California Barber & Beauty College, and Skyline Church are committed to empowering young minds and fostering a strong community.
