It is that time of year again when the communities of San Diego come together in a massive, bi-annual, countywide food drive to benefit the San Diego Food Bank.
“Neighbors Helping Neighbors” Food Drive participants this month include the La Mesa Police Department, the Buddhist Temple of San Diego, Ideal Plumbing, Heating, Air, Electrical, Fashionphile, and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
There will be 12 drop-off locations throughout the county and an option to participate virtually.
The main drop-off will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 17.
The drop-off locations include:
