On Wednesday, Oct. 30, Grossmont College will host one of East County’s largest job fairs, the 46el Annual Career Expo.
This event, organized by Grossmont College Career Services and Career Technical Education/Workforce Development, offers opportunities for job seekers, students, and professionals looking to expand their networks and explore new career paths.
With nearly 100 employer agencies and over 200 recruiters, industries represented include manufacturing, information technology, business, hospitality, public service, and more. Additionally, some employers will conduct on-the-spot job interviews. Event sponsors include Public Consulting Group, San Diego Refugee Forum, Fastenal, and Grossmont College.
Organizers anticipate more than 600 people will attend the event, including students from local high schools. The Career Expo is being held on campus in the Main Quad, and is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Key services offered at the event include free professional headshots, translation services in over 10 languages, live music by Griffin Radio, and exclusive drone videography footage from Grossmont’s Drone Technology program.
This free event is open to students, alumni, and the general public, and advanced registration is recommended, especially to receive specialty services such as headshots.
Registration and information links can be found at Grossmont.edu, in the Campus Calendar.
Attendees are encouraged to bring copies of their resumes, and students can visit Career Services in advance for resume assistance.
