The College Area Business District announces the inaugural Taste of College Area, a culinary event celebrating the diverse flavors and vibrant cultures of San Diego. The event takes place Sunday, Sept. 29, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The event will take place in the heart of the College Area, along El Cajon Boulevard, from 54th Street to 73rd Street and along College Avenue near the San Diego State University campus.
This year’s event features more than 25 local restaurants and pubs showcasing their finest dishes and drinks. From savory bites and sweet treats to craft beers and artisanal beverages, “tasters” will have the opportunity to sample a wide array of gourmet offerings while exploring the bustling College Area neighborhood. The event brings together local restaurants, pubs and residents for a day of food, entertainment, and camaraderie.

General admission tickets are available online for $40 in advance and $45 on the day of the event. VIP tickets are also available for $50 in advance and $55 on the event day. General admission Early Bird Tickets are available until Aug. 23 for $35.

Free parking is available in the designated lot and on nearby streets. For those using public transportation to arrive at the event, it is easily accessible via MTS Route 215 and Route 1. Upon your arrival, you can move around the event as a self-guided tour. You can walk, bike, drive or take the complementary trolley rides provided by Old Town Trolley Tours.
