A La Jolla High School class of 1994 alumnus is a finalist in the Doritos Crash the Super Bowl Contest. Filmmaker Tyler Dixon’s commercial, “Road Chip,” which features a baby and a dog battling over Doritos in the back seat of a car, is one of five finalists in this year’s contest. Dixon directed, wrote and produced the ad with Heather Kasprzak, who plays the mom driving the car. The two aspiring filmmakers met at the 2011 Crash the Super Bowl Contest, where they both were finalists. With Dixon’s skills as a comedy writer and director and Kasprzak’s five years of experience making commercials and videos for Mattel, the pair was able to make it to the finals once again. The commercial with the most votes by Jan. 29 will air during the Super Bowl, and the winners will receive $1 million and a job working on the film “Transformers 4” with Michael Bay. Watch Dixon’s commercial and vote at www.doritosroadchip.com. Viewers can vote every day on both computers and mobile devices through Jan. 29.
