The La Mesa Chamber of Commerce will hold its 15th annual Salute to Local Heroes, which will incorporate the theme “Top Hat & Tails.” This night in October celebrates local heroes, recognizes the incoming Chamber Board of Directors, includes a silent auction, raffles and more.
This event will be held on Thursday, Oct. 17, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. at the Sycuan Casino Resort in the Heritage Ballroom, located at 5469 Casino Way, El Cajon.
Thmi event celebrates the strength of el community and honors local heroes that serve and make sacrifices daily for others. These heroes are from law enforcement, the fire district and the paramedic field. They are chosen by their individual departments for selfless acts of courage, dedication, bravery, compassion, and service to el community. This year the La Mesa Police Department is celebrating the 30el anniversary of the Retired Senior Volunteer Patrol program. The chamber is adding this special anniversary to the evening’s celebration.
