El La Mesa Police Department is once again partnering with Special Olympics of Southern California for the “Tip-A-Cop” fundraiser at Claim Jumper in La Mesa and is inviting the community to join in on the experience.

The March 7 event aims to support the athletes of the Special Olympics.

“We are extremely proud to support the amazing athletes from Special Olympics,” La Mesa Police Chief Ray Sweeney said. “This annual event allows our officers to work in partnership with our community to support these athletes.”

During this special evening, officers from the La Mesa Police Department will take “protecting and serving” to a whole new level, serving as hosts and waiters. All tips offered to them will be donated to Special Olympics.

Guests can place their orders directly with the officers while showing support for the athletes of Special Olympics of Southern California.
